What Will Children Learn?

What is Little Explorers?

Our Little Explorers program covers a wide variety of topics in a way that's engaging for young minds. Each class is carefully designed to be interactive and full of exploration! We also do story-time and art class!

  • Animal Care: Children will meet and help care for our farm animals - goats, chickens, donkeys, horses, pig - learning how to feed them, keep them healthy, and understand their unique personalities.
  • Gardening and Planting: Young explorers will get their hands dirty by planting seeds, watering plants, and watching their crops grow (depending on the season). They'll learn about where food comes from and the importance of caring for the earth.
  • Nature Walks and Exploration: Each class includes time for guided nature walks on the property, visiting the animals, observing wildlife, identifying plants and trees on the property, and discover the beauty of our farm's natural landscape.
  • Creative Play: Whether it's building with natural materials, digging in the soil, or creating art from leaves and flowers, imaginative play is an important part of the Little Explorers experience.
  • Art Class + Story-time: Every visit includes a fun, creative and beautiful art class and a farm story (unless the kiddos vote to just spend time with the animals!).
  • Build confidence through hands-on tasks.
  • Develop a sense of responsibility by caring for animals and plants.
  • Learn teamwork by working together in group activities.
  • Cultivate mindfulness and an appreciation for the environment.

The Little Explorers class isn't just about learning farm skills - it's about fostering a connection to nature and nurturing children's innate curiosity. In our program kids will:
