Browse our available dogs and submit an adoption application when you find one you’re interested in. We’ll carefully review your application, discuss your home and lifestyle, and help determine if it’s the right match. If approved, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet or virtual consultation and guide you through every step of the adoption process.

Our goal isn’t simply to place dogs—it’s to create lifelong families.

Yes! We regularly adopt dogs to approved homes throughout California and across the United States. We work with trusted, USDA-compliant transport partners to safely bring dogs to their new families.

Please note that adopters outside of California are responsible for transportation costs to bring their dog home.

Our adoption fees help offset only a portion of the cost of saving each dog’s life. Before adoption, every dog receives comprehensive care, including:

• Comprehensive veterinary examination
• Age-appropriate vaccinations
• Spay or neuter (when medically appropriate)
• Microchip
• Deworming
• Flea and tick prevention
• Any additional medical treatment or surgery needed while in our care
• Transportation from the shelter to our veterinary team, foster homes, and any necessary rescue-related transport throughout their journey

Many of our dogs require extensive medical treatment and transportation that far exceeds their adoption fee. Every adoption helps us continue rescuing the next dog waiting for a second chance.

Please note: Adoption fees do not include transportation to out-of-state adopters. Families adopting outside of California are responsible for the cost of transport to their home.

Every adoption is unique. Some dogs are ready to go home within a few days, while others may still need medical care, recovery time, or transportation arrangements. We work as quickly as possible while ensuring every adoption is safe and successful.

Absolutely. Whenever possible, we arrange meet-and-greets for local adopters. For out-of-state families, we provide photos, videos, foster updates, and are happy to answer every question so you feel confident before welcoming your new companion home.

Transitions take time. We encourage all adopters to remember the 3-3-3 Rule and give their new dog patience as they decompress and settle into their new environment.

If challenges arise, we’re here to help. We ask that you contact us immediately if you’re experiencing difficulties. Our dogs should never be surrendered to another shelter or rescue.

Fosters provide a safe, loving home while a dog waits for adoption. Your role is to offer patience, stability, and love while helping them learn what life in a home is all about.

Into the Wild Farm provides all veterinary care for our foster dogs.

We also strive to provide food whenever possible. Many of our wonderful fosters choose to provide food if they’re able, allowing us to stretch every donation and save even more dogs, but it is never expected.

In many cases, yes! We’ll help match you with a dog that fits your household and provide guidance on proper introductions and decompression.

Every dog is different. Some are adopted quickly, while others may need additional medical care, training, or time before finding their forever family.

It happens all the time—and we love foster failures!

Many of our foster families choose to adopt the dog they’ve cared for. Foster-to-adopt is often one of the best ways to ensure the perfect match.

Yes. Every dog receives age-appropriate vaccinations under the direction of our veterinary team.

Yes. Unless medically inappropriate or too young, every dog is spayed or neutered before adoption.

If a puppy is adopted before they are old enough for surgery, the adopter agrees to complete the procedure according to the adoption contract.

We believe in complete transparency and will fully discuss any known medical conditions, injuries, medications, or behavioral concerns before adoption.

Many of our dogs are rescued from overcrowded California shelters where they are at immediate risk of euthanasia. Others come from owner surrenders or emergency situations.

Living with a foster family allows us to better understand each dog’s personality, provide individualized care, continue training, and prepare them for a successful transition into their forever family.
